Officially Official!

Mr. Russon's Badge Ceremony was a couple of weeks ago.  It was short and simple.  The Chief gave a few words of instruction, advice, and encouragement.  Then they were sworn in and received their badges.  I am so proud of him and all his hard work, but this is really just the beginning.  Good thing he looks good it the uniform. ;)

'I Love To See The Temple'

Today I got to help the youth plant flowers on the grounds of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint's Portland, Oregon Temple.  It was definitely chilly, but we were just grateful it didn't rain.  When we got there hundreds of pansies and bulbs had been laid out in strategic places all over the grounds.  It was lots of work, but its going to be beautiful.

(Wish I could claim the picture of the Temple... sorry, not mine.  

But I will be claiming those flowers come spring!)

I'm so proud of my girls getting up early in the morning, coming out into 

the cold, working so hard, and all on a Saturday!  Love them.

Awkward Ladders

Here's what the Mr's been up to...

Academy Saturdays, Sundays, and Thursdays.  

He comes home tired, but is LOVING it.

Learned how to carry an unconscious person down a ladder.  

Apparently there are four ways.

 

Proved why he's going to be the firefighter, not me...

And... Practiced knot tying via practical jokes.
